One business or several, each kept separate. One points strategy.
PointBagel groups your business cards by business. Each business's transactions, application eligibility, and welcome offers stay in its own set of books, and your personal cards stay personal, all in the same tool.
Pro is the full PointBagel for personal cards plus business groups for entities. You don't pick personal or business. You get both.
Business groups are a Pro feature. Pro is $11.99/mo or $79.99/yr (founding). Sales tax applies in some US states.
No per-business tricks
We honor the issuer's actual rule, not a per-business fantasy
Portfolio-wide velocity rules
When an issuer aggregates applications across the whole portfolio, we honor that. No per-business reset.
Per-person lifetime bonuses
When the issuer enforces a once-per-lifetime bonus per person, we honor that. Forming a new business doesn't unlock a fresh bonus.
Per-product lifetime rules
When the rule is per product (the issuer's "ever had this card" language), we honor that as written.
What business tagging does do: keeps your transactions and fees per business, and tags past welcome bonuses to the business that earned them so legacy untagged history doesn't wrongly block applications under a different business. See the full rule list.
What other tools miss
Whether you run one business or several, these are the gaps you live with today.
Mixed books across businesses
Your consulting Ink card and your real-estate Spark card land in the same view. There's no clean way to scope transactions to the business that owns the card, so the books mix.
Untagged bonus history blocks applications it shouldn't
You took a no-fee Ink Cash bonus on your consulting business three years ago. Most tools see that history but can't tell which business the card belonged to, so that one untagged bonus blocks every future no-fee Ink application across every business you own, even though the issuer's family-bucket rule applies per business in practice.
Approval math without business context
Every issuer rule is a different shape: portfolio-wide velocity counts, per-person lifetime bonuses, per-product lifetime rules. Most tools either lump them all together or pretend forming a new business resets them. Both flatten the math.
Pro is the full PointBagel, with business added
Going Pro for business doesn't mean trading away the personal experience. Every Pro account gets the same portfolio dashboard, the same Trip Plans, the same recommendations, the same fee calendar, the same transfer-partner map - applied across all your cards. The business-group layer sits on top of that, so your business's Ink and your personal Sapphire live in the same wallet but file under the right business.
For your personal cards
- Portfolio dashboard with current CPP
- Recommendations based on actual spend
- Annual fee calendar + benefit tracker
- Trip Plans + Redemption Guide unlimited
- Application Calendar with 20+ issuer rules
- Household mode for a partner's portfolio
Plus the business layer
- Business groups: one per business
- Per-business transaction filtering
- Per-business fee calendar
- Welcome bonuses tag to the right business
- Honest issuer-rule math (no per-business tricks)
- Personal stays personal - never mixed in
How PointBagel scopes the books
What "per-business" means, surface by surface.
Business groups
Create unlimited business groups (one per business, or however you organize). Each business card lives in one group; reassign or move freely. Filter views by group with a single toggle - no more squinting at card nicknames to figure out which business owns what.
- Unlimited groups, unlimited cards per group. The same card product (e.g., Chase Ink Cash) can appear in multiple groups when you legitimately hold one per business
- Cards can be assigned, reassigned, or unassigned without losing transaction history
- Personal cards stay personal - the toggle never mixes them in
Issuer rules honored as the issuer writes them
Every approval rule is checked against the engine's encoded version of how the issuer actually enforces it, not against a flattened guess. The eligibility checker ties past welcome bonuses to the business that earned them, so untagged legacy history doesn't wrongly block applications under a different business, while still honoring issuer policy where it overrides per-business scope.
- Velocity rules that aggregate portfolio-wide stay portfolio-wide. We don't pretend a new business resets them.
- Once-per-lifetime bonuses that the issuer enforces per person stay per person. Forming a new business doesn't unlock a fresh bonus.
- Lifetime rules the issuer enforces per product stay per product. We honor the issuer's actual language.
- Past welcome bonuses tag to the business that earned them, so legacy untagged history doesn't wrongly block applications under a different business.
Per-business transaction filtering
Every transactions view, fee calendar, and insights surface respects the active business group. Switch to your consulting business and only its cards' transactions appear. Switch back to All and the personal/business split reappears. Trip Plans and the Redemption Guide are the deliberate exception: points live in your personal loyalty programs, not in any one business, so redemption planning always reads your whole wallet.
- Transactions list filters by group
- Fee calendar and per-card perks-and-fees P&L scope per business (points always pool across your whole wallet)
- Trip Plans + Redemption Guide always plan from your whole wallet - points stay in your personal loyalty programs, never split by business
Per-business welcome offer tagging
Tag past bonuses to the business that took them when you record them. The eligibility checker uses those tags to compute accurate next-eligible dates per business, instead of blocking every future application because some legacy bonus is sitting untagged in your history.
- Past welcome bonuses attach to the business that earned them.
- Untagged past bonuses are treated as blocking until you classify them, a safer default than missing a real conflict.
- Where the issuer enforces a rule per person or per product (not per business), per-business tagging is metadata only. Issuer policy still wins.
How it works
Connect your cards
Plaid for the cards you want auto-synced (5 on Plus, unlimited on Pro). Manual entry for the rest. We never store credentials and never move money.
Create one group per business
Name each group whatever you call the business ("Consulting", "Etsy", "Real estate"). Drag business cards into the right group from the My Cards page.
Track each business separately
The pool toggle is in every dashboard surface. Pick a group to scope the view, pick All Business to see all businesses together, or pick All to fold personal back in.
Questions business cardholders ask
I have one business. Is this worth Pro?
If you have one business, the value is per-business application math and clean reporting separation. Free and Plus both show a BIZ badge on business cards, but only Pro lets you actually separate the books and run the issuer-rule math against that business's own application history.
I have multiple businesses. How is this different from just labeling cards?
Labeling helps you read; business groups help the engine compute correctly. The value is concrete: transactions, the fee calendar, and each card's perks-and-fees record filter per business, so you get a clean perks-vs-fees P&L for each one. Points always pool across your whole wallet - they belong to you, not any one business. Past welcome bonuses also tag to the business that earned them, so legacy untagged history doesn't wrongly block applications under a different business. Issuer rules themselves are honored as the issuer writes them: velocity rules that aggregate portfolio-wide stay portfolio-wide, once-per-lifetime bonuses the issuer enforces per person stay per person, and per-product lifetime rules stay per product. We don't pretend forming a new business resets any of that.
What about issuers whose rules are explicitly per person, not per business?
Some issuer rules are scoped per person (per SSN), not per business entity. Forming a new business does not unlock a fresh bonus on those products. PointBagel honors that rule rather than pretending business groups override it: the eligibility checker explicitly skips business-group scoping for those products. The full per-product behavior is documented at /help/issuer-rules.
Can I still see all my business cards together?
Yes. The pool toggle has three top-level modes plus per-group filters: All (personal + all business mixed), Personal (just personal), All Business (every business card across every entity), and one entry per business group. Use whichever view fits the question you're answering.
What if I downgrade from Pro?
Your business groups stay in your account. Cards keep their group assignments in the database. You lose the ability to create new groups, see the per-business filters, and view the per-business application math - but if you upgrade back to Pro, everything is exactly where you left it.
Are business cards in your catalog?
Yes. 3,500+ credit cards across the catalog including Chase Ink (every variant), Amex Business (Gold, Platinum, Green, Plum, all Delta and Marriott Business cards), Capital One Spark (every flavor), US Bank Triple Cash, Bank of America Business Advantage line, BMO Harris, and 60+ other US issuers.
