Your Privacy Choices

Some US state privacy laws give you the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. This page is where you exercise that right. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What we do and don't do

We do notsell your personal information for money, and we never sell or share your bank transactions, card portfolio, or point balances. What can count as “sharing” under some state laws is narrower than it sounds:

• Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic. We enable IP anonymization and keep Google Signals and advertising features turned off, but exchanging analytics data for a free analytics service can be treated as a “sale” or “share” under some laws.
• Affiliate links. When you click an “Apply” link, the click passes through a PointBagel redirect. If you are signed in and have not opted out, we attach a small snapshot of your account for our own demand analytics. We do not send that snapshot to the card issuer or any affiliate partner, but the attribution can be treated as “sharing.”
• First-party usage events. While you are signed in and have not opted out, in-product usage events (such as which pages you view) are associated with your account so we can find bugs and improve the product.

What opting out does not touch: the network-level request logging our hosting and security providers perform to deliver and protect the site. That happens before your browser runs any of our code, so this control cannot switch it off. It sets no cookies of ours and is not used to profile you.

Use the control below to opt out. When you opt out, we turn off Google Analytics in your browser, stop attaching your account to affiliate link clicks, and stop attaching your account to first-party usage events. Your links keep working exactly the same way - opting out never blocks a click.

Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically. If your browser or a browser extension sends GPC, we treat you as opted out without any action on your part, and the control above will show that the signal is being honored.

How your choice is remembered

Your opt-out is stored in a first-party cookie on this browser, so you may need to opt out again on other browsers or devices, or if you clear cookies. If you are signed in, we also save the choice to your account, so it follows you on every device where you sign in. This choice contains no personal information beyond the opt-out itself.
